All The Hard Work, All The Success
And The Holidays?
Only a few more sleeps to the end of term are you enjoying every possible moment or wishing the time away, dragging yourself and your colleagues limping to the finish line? The last few weeks of the summer term should be a time for celebration you have all worked so hard all year, the children have progressed, developed and flourished in your care. You have made a difference. You should be celebrating not only their's but also your success.
Maybe take a moment to read each other's thank you cards. Reflect and write down some of your high points, without any criticism. Make a point of telling your colleagues, and some of the students what you appreciate about them but most importantly just enjoy the moment at leavers' assembly, sports day and end of term shows.
"Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry are all forms of fear are caused by too much future and not enough present.
Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness are caused by too much past."
Live in the present.
Go on, why not try it for these last few days?
